We are subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation of Canada.
Ball in the 6 is a Toronto-based sports platform operated by ENUW Inc., a Canadian corporation. Our Platform serves athletes, coaches, fans, teams, organizations, and scouts in the Toronto and Greater Toronto Area sports community and beyond.
Data controller: ENUW Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Information from third parties:
Plain language
We collect what you type in (name, email, birthday, stats, posts). We also automatically collect technical info like your IP address and which pages you visit. We never see your raw passwords or card numbers.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or run behavioural ad targeting.
Plain language
We use your info to run the app, keep it safe, send you important messages, and make it better. We never sell your data or use it for ads.
Under PIPEDA, we collect and use personal information only with appropriate consent or as otherwise permitted by law:
You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 15). Withdrawing consent for essential processing (e.g., authentication cookies) will prevent you from using the Platform.
Plain language
We only use your data because you agreed to it when you signed up, because we need it to run the service, or because the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
Plain language
We share your data with the companies that help us run the servers and send emails. We never sell it. Other users can only see what your privacy settings allow.
The safety of young athletes is our highest priority. Our Platform is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without consent, contact us immediately at privacy@enuw.ca and we will delete it promptly.
Plain language
Kids under 13 need a parent to manage their account. Teens (13–17) get extra safety protections like limited messaging. Youth performance data is private by default.
Our Platform supports a guardian/athlete account linking system. A guardian (parent or legal custodian) can:
Guardian links are verified through an invitation code system. We log all guardian access to athlete data for audit purposes. Guardians may not share athlete data with third parties outside the Platform without the athlete's consent (once the athlete reaches age of majority).
Plain language
If you are a parent, you can link to your child's account to see their activity and manage their privacy settings. This connection is verified so random people can't claim to be someone's parent.
All personal data is stored on DigitalOcean Managed PostgreSQL servers located in the Toronto (tor1) region, keeping your data within Canada.
Technical security measures include:
__Host- prefixed HttpOnly cookies (prevent JavaScript access, enforced HTTPS, path-scoped)timingSafeEqual comparison on all state-changing requestsDespite our best efforts, no security system is impenetrable. In the event of a breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected users and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada within the timeframe required by PIPEDA.
Plain language
Your data lives on secure servers in Toronto. Your password is scrambled so even we can't read it. Your login sessions are protected with industry-leading encryption. If there's ever a serious breach, we'll tell you right away.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. Guardian accounts can delete linked minor accounts on their behalf.
Plain language
We delete your data within 30 days of you deleting your account. Transaction records are kept longer for legal/tax reasons. You can delete your account anytime in Settings.
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the Platform is used in aggregate. Plausible is a privacy-preserving analytics service that:
Analytics data shows us aggregate statistics like "200 people visited the games page today" — never who those 200 people are.
Plain language
Our analytics tool doesn't track you personally. It just tells us things like "100 people used the games feature today" without knowing who those people are.
If you opt in to push notifications, we store a push subscription token (a device identifier generated by your browser/OS) in our database. This token is used exclusively to send you notifications you have subscribed to:
Push tokens are deleted from our database within 48 hours of you disabling notifications or deleting your account. You can manage notification preferences in Settings → Notifications at any time.
Plain language
Push notifications are optional. If you turn them on, we store a token on our server to send you alerts. You can turn this off anytime in Settings and we'll delete the token.
The Marketplace allows users to buy and sell sports gear and equipment. When you use the Marketplace:
Plain language
If you sell something on the Marketplace, your listing is visible to other users. We never see your credit card number — our payment partner handles that.
Public content (posts, comments, reactions in community spaces) is visible to all Platform users and may be indexed by search engines if you have not set your profile to private.
Direct messages are stored encrypted in our database and are only accessible to the conversation participants. Our staff do not read private messages except when required to investigate a safety report, comply with a legal order, or enforce our Terms of Service.
You can delete your posts and messages at any time. Deleted content is purged from our databases within 14 days. Note that other users may have copied or screenshotted content before deletion.
Plain language
What you post publicly can be seen by everyone. Your private messages are only seen by you and who you're talking to. We can only read DMs if we need to investigate a serious safety issue.
Under PIPEDA and applicable Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, visit Settings → Account or contact us at privacy@enuw.ca. We will respond within 30 days as required by PIPEDA. Complex requests may be extended to 60 days with notice.
Guardian accounts may exercise these rights on behalf of linked minor accounts.
Plain language
You can see your data, fix it, delete it, or take it with you anytime. Just go to Settings or email us. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Canadian government's privacy office.
Our primary database and servers are located in Toronto, Canada (DigitalOcean tor1 region). Some of our service providers process data outside Canada:
Where data is processed outside Canada, we take steps to ensure it receives substantially similar protection to that required by PIPEDA, including contractual safeguards with service providers.
Plain language
Most of your data stays in Toronto. Some security and analytics tools use servers in the US or Europe, but those companies are contractually required to protect your data the same way we do.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Plain language
If we change this policy, we'll tell you 2 weeks in advance in the app. Big changes affecting kids get emailed to parents directly.
